Step into the music with our brand-new behind-the-scenes Cathedral organ experience. Join our Cathedral Organist as he demonstrates the splendor of the Cathedral’s Great Organ, and takes you up stone staircases to see the organ pipes up close. With a max of 10 people, there’s no better way to get an insider experience and understand how the king of instruments got its name.

The Organ Tour lasts approximately 75-90 minutes and costs $65 per person. Please review the following information before purchasing tickets:

Prepare for rigorous activity.
Those with a fear of heights or enclosed spaces should not participate; stairs include enclosed stone staircases, open railings, and narrow ledges.
Minimum height requirement: 48 inches (4 feet)
Not appropriate for young children; Infants cannot be carried on the tour.
Those with severe allergies or asthma should be aware that passages will be dusty.

Walk the North and South West towers to enjoy the smaller “jewels” of the Cathedral. View the different designs of the windows in the towers, while decoding traditional and biblical imagery, abstract themes, and smaller windows with personal imagery. As you climb down, hear about the creative process which combines personal stories, the artistry of the designers, and the technical skill of the fabricators.

Angels and Monsters Tower Climb

Climb the Cathedral’s two western towers and discover a close-up look at many gargoyles and grotesques while visiting the open-air walkway wrapping around these two towers (about 125 feet above the ground). The climb ends on the very top of the northwest tower, which provides the best views of the Cathedral itself, and 360-degree views of the surrounding area (over 200 feet above the ground).The tour lasts 75 – 90 minutes and costs $50/person.
