× Camille Dungy has been described as a poet of graceful wondering, extraordinary insight, and musical language that heals. In her latest book of essays, Soil: The Story of a Black Mother's Garden, she writes, “Without resilience, what is hope but a passing fancy?" Join us for an afternoon with Camille Dungy and discover how resilient hope can be practiced by learning about, paying attention to, and tending the landscapes in which we live.

The National Orchestral Institute + Festival, world-renowned conductor Marin Alsop, and Heritage Signature Chorale perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with poetry by 2017 Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral.

The day includes the Grandest of Processions and the celebration of a festival holy Eucharist, along with opportunities for exploring the Cathedral and joining a variety of workshops.
