Celebrate freedom as the Cathedral commemorates Juneteenth and the liberation from bondage. Following the 11:15 Eucharist, join us for a public forum on “Shaping a New Tomorrow” as part of the Cathedral’s racial justice initiatives.

Participants include: The Rev. Dr. Keith W. Byrd, Sr, Progressive National Baptist Convention, National First Vice-President and Pastor, Zion Baptist Church | The Rev. Canon Leonard L. Hamlin, Sr., Canon Missioner and Minister of Equity and Inclusion, Washington National Cathedral | Michelle Miller, Co-Host, CBS Saturday Morning | Dr. Eric L. Motley, Deputy Director, The National Gallery of Art

The Cathedral’s Juneteenth celebrations are sponsored by the Cathedral College of Faith & Culture and are presented as part of “Light in the Darkness,” an ongoing series of public programs around the upcoming dedication of new stained glass windows dedicated to racial justice and the ongoing struggle for civil rights.
