The debt we owe those who have served in our armed forces is immeasurable. While we will always hold a special place in our hearts for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, we must also remember those who serve and who return to civilian life. For some the return is not easy. The burden and consequence of serving in our armed forces is not always immediately apparent, but the need for a system of support is crucial. Through the National Veterans Day Concert the Cathedral seeks to honor and celebrate those who have served our country. Furthermore it seeks to raise awareness of the needs of our veterans through the remarkable work done in their name.
